Scattered across the Shelters and Outposts are the journals of the races. Each race has three journal arcs written by different members of the race, telling the story of their daily life, their new beginnings and their final days. Every journal is a written book with one entry, colored in the race color.

Each chest contains a random entry, so collecting a complete arc takes some exploring.

Every race has buried treasure, and a Treasure Map leads to it. Treasure Maps are bartered from Descendants, who can hand out the map of any race. The map marks the location of the nearest Treasure of that race with a red X.
