Automaticons are assisting entities designed to farm resources for the player. Simply craft them, equip them with a valid item and wait for them to drop the materials they gather for you. Automaticons do not move and will generate materials regardless of their environment, meaning you can easily place them within a remote location.
After setting up an Automaticon, you simply have to right click it with a valid item found in the list below. After that, it will begin farming materials for you. The payout cycles and durability are dependent on the Automaticon's tier and can be viewed in-game through the lore of its item form. (Stats available below) The items themselves will simply be dropped by the Automaticon. By placing a hopper or hopper minecart beneath an Automaticon, you can funnel the items it drops directly into a storage container. Each item takes up a different amount of durability when farmed.
When an Automaticon's durability reaches zero, it requires a new, unenchanted tool in order to begin work again, given to them by right-clicking with the tool in hand. The tool must be the same type and material as the tool used to craft the Automaticon.
Automaticons can only be broken back into item form when their durability is full. They can be given a new tool at any time, although the player will not receive a partially used tool by giving it a new tool before the previous one “breaks.”
Wooden: 32 Durability, 1-2 Items per payout
Stone: 64 Durability, 1-4 Items per payout
Gold: 96 Durability, 1-6 Items per payout
Iron: 128 Durability, 1-8 Items per payout
Diamond: 160 Durability, 1-10 Items per payout
Netherite: 192 Durability, 1-12 Items per payout
Crafting an Automaticon will always require three Smooth Stone Slabs. Depending on which tier is crafted the recipe also requires either 5 Logs, Stone-type Blocks (excluding cobblestone) (Raw)Iron Blocks, (Raw)Gold Blocks, Diamond Blocks or Netherite Upgrade Templates. The last ingredient for an Automaticon is the tool which it will equip after being placed. The tool does not have to be full durability to be used. For example, using five Andesite and a Stone Shovel would result in a stone tier Automaticon which has a Stone Shovel equipped. An example of this is displayed in the picture next to this section.
The items an Automaticon can farm are determined by the tool it's holding. For example, an Automaticon equipped with an axe can only wood type blocks. Below you will find a detailed list of what different materials Automaticons can farm based on the tool they're holding.
