The Astral Plane is a dark and dangerous new late game dimension filled with all sorts of dangerous foes. It currently has 4 different biomes: Astral Plains, Astral Jungle, Astral Forest and Astral Desert. The dimension can be entered through the portal which opens when a Celestial Watcher was defeated. A player can exit the Astral Plane through a similiar portal in the dimension. The portal structures have beacon beams to better find them.

Gliding with an elytra in this dimension is extremely dangerous. You not only have a darkened vision but also take a bit of damage. In addition to that the night vision effect does not work in this spooky dimension.

There are all kinds of mobs which found there way to the Astral Plane and got stronger in it. In addition to the Mob level scaling those mobs have additional armor values. Each mob has a modified loot table which makes it worth taking on the challenge.
